Our History
In 2001, an idea that would become VP Engineering began to take shape. Two short years later, in February 2003, the idea became reality when our firm’s founders joined forces and formed Vrettos Pappas Consulting Engineers, a design consulting firm with expertise in Mechanical, Engineering and Plumbing (MEP), and Low Voltage/Technology design.
Within a year, our MEP consulting firm realized several goals and established a solid foundation upon which VP Engineering would flourish. Over the next decade, we continued to grow locally, as one of the best MEP and low voltage technology design consulting firms in Charlotte, NC.
As word spread of our commitment to client service and efficient system design, we prospered and grew, expanding offices in both Charlotte, NC and Dallas, TX. We also grew internationally, gaining a reputation for integrity and excellence in new construction and renovation projects in markets ranging from senior living and hospitality to retail/commercial.
With this growth, our firm also became recognized for our commitment to sustainable engineering design and many employees obtained Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certification long before ecologically sound design grew in popularity. We also have experts on staff who are Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD) certified with an expertise in telecommunications and data communications technology systems. Today, we continue to be known for the same dedication to our clients and to our craft.
